Alan received his law degree from Loyola University of Chicago and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Federal Taxation. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University. (B.S.B.A.) While at Georgetown, Alan served as an intern for United States Senator Bill Bradley and was able to experience Georgetown’s National Championship season in basketball.
In addition to being a lawyer, Alan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the following organizations: Wealth Counsel, The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA), the Lake County Bar Association (LCBA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Alan is an avid runner and enjoys reading (espionage, crime novels and intrigue), travel and good food.

Caren received her law degree from Temple University where she was the recipient of the Outstanding Legal and Research Writing Award, was a member of Tau Epsilon Rho and was named to Who’s Who among American Law Students. Caren formerly practiced law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, assisting clients in Employment Law. Now that she has joined Shire Law Group, PC, Caren has expanded her areas to wills, trusts, powers of attorney, estate planning and Elder Law. Caren is also leading our new service, Corporate Wellness™, designed for clients to achieve the benefits of creating a “healthy” workforce through customized evaluation of employment-related processes and critical training.

Victoria assists our clients and works with the attorneys in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration and Real Estate. Always willing to take on new challenges, Victoria excels in making sure all the details are addressed and that clients have access to the answers that they need to ensure that they have the best experience at Shire.

Legal Assistant
Renee coordinates presentations for our clients and the community. She reaches out to the community to coordinate planning for families which allows them to realize their unique goals. Renee works with the team to make sure that client expectations are always met and exceeded.
Daniel L. Siegel
Legal Assistant
A soon-to-be JD candidate and a graduate of the University of Iowa with a BA in Pre-legal studies and Enterprise Leadership, Danny has spearheaded the firm’s young adult program and performs a prominent role in drafting and preparing the Powers of Attorney and Health Care Directives for adult children once they turn 18. In addition, Danny assists in various Real Estate and LLC projects.
